第10回の問題タイプ別攻略法では、Complete the Passageと呼ばれる問題形式において、その特徴やスコアアップのコツについて詳しく解説します。この問題は、Complete the Sentences同様にInteractive Readingと呼ばれる読解力を評価する５つの問題形式のうちの２番目に位置づけられています。
受験者は、直前のComplete the Sentencesで読んだ英文パッセージに続く最適な英文を選択肢から選びます。その際、空欄の下に書かれた英文も参考に、自然なパッセージが完成するように心がけてください。

▶概要
1 ) Complete the Sentencesで使用したパッセージに続く英文を、選択肢の中から選ぶ問題です。
2 )タイマーは、前の問題（Complete the Sentences）より引き続きカウントされています。
3 )この問題は、Interactive Readingに属する５つの問題形式のうちの２番目のものです。
- Complete the Sentences １問×２セット
- Complete the Passage １問×２セット
- Highlight the Answer ２問×２セット
- Identify the Idea １問×２セット
- Title the Passage １問×２セット
4 ) 制限時間：５つの問題形式を全て１セットあたり７～８分で解きます。
5 ) 出題数：１問/１セット×２セット
6 ) 次の問題に進む前に、全ての問題に解答する必要があり、前の問題に戻ることはできません。
▶スコアアップのための４つの手順
ステップ１）まずは英文延滞をざっと読み、大まかな内容を把握する
✔第一段落は、Complete the Sentencesの文ですので、軽く目を通します。ここで、全問（Complete the Sentences）の正解が英文に反映されていますので、改めて第一段落で述べられた内容を再確認しましょう。
✔次に、空欄の下に書かれた英文や段落を読み、パッセージ全体の内容を理解します。
ステップ２）全ての選択肢に目を通す
✔選択肢の冒頭に However、For example, Moreoverなどsignal wordが来ていればチャンスです。前文と選択肢との関係から、その選択肢が正解かどうかを判断できます。
✔ 第一段落の内容と全く異なる選択肢は除外します。
ステップ３）空欄の直前と直後の文に注意深く目を通す
✔（１）空欄の直前の文、（２）選択肢、（３）空欄の直後の文、を再度注意深く読むことで、より正解が明確になります。
ステップ４）パラグラフ・フォームに沿った論理展開を意識する
✔パッセージにおける次の３つの段階の論理展開を念頭に置き、再度パッセージを読んでみることも、正解を導き出すためのヒントになります。
▶ Topic ：話題や筆者の伝えたいこと
▶ Support / Details ：理由・具体例・さらなる詳細説明・反対意見
▶ Conclusion ：結論
▶練習問題に挑戦
